Today, a new mommy came into our retail center with questions about CBD for Post-Partum relief. As she approached, I was struck with how put-together she appeared, proudly toting her little baby high on her chest in his carrier. We began discussing some basic CBD information, and her questions were pretty general. Not even a few minutes had passed when her sweet baby began to cry. As she scrambled to find a pacifier, tears welled up in her blood-shot eyes, and she gracefully crumbled. She was exhausted, her anxiety was through the roof, and her body hurt in ways she had never known before. In short, she was a mother, a woman, and absolutely radiant.
Over the years, we’ve seen that CBD, like our Hemp Extracts and CBD Topicals, have many benefits for woman-specific issues. So we’re making this post all about the ladies!
A woman’s body is beautiful, unique, and comes with its own set of ‘issues.’
We’ve broken down the most common complaints and ailments to address how a CBD regimen could be beneficial.
Pre-Menstrual Syndrome and CBD:
If you haven’t heard of PMS, please share the location of your blissful, mysterious paradise! For everyone else, we can agree it’s terrible all around and just plain not fair! This condition usually occurs before or during a woman’s menstruation and ranges from unpleasant to downright debilitating. While we can’t change your biology, we do offer some good news! Studies show that CBD can help relax the uterine muscle where cramps occur and alleviate many PMS symptoms, including mood swings, breast tenderness, anxiety, bloating, etc.
Endometriosis and CBD:
Endometriosis is a frequently painful condition where the tissue that normally lines the uterus – the endometrium – mistakenly grows outside of the uterus. Not surprisingly, the symptoms are extremely painful, and there is currently not a cure. Many women are forced to take painkillers to keep the effects at bay, but CBD can offer an alternative for people who have chronic pain and rely on more dangerous, habit-forming medications like opioids.
CBD for Menopause:
Menopause is one of the most dramatic changes a woman’s body will undertake in her lifetime. Luckily, hot flashes, mood swings, pain, insomnia, and other symptoms of menopause don’t have to be fought alone, and—as it turns out—an extremely helpful ally can come in the form of cannabis. There exists some preliminary research that suggests early onset menopause may be linked to endocannabinoid deficiencies. Evidence suggests that estrogen utilizes endocannabinoids to regulate mood and emotional response—this could explain why mood swings are more common during menopause when estrogen levels plummet. Using CBD to reestablish and maintain balance within the body during such a dramatic physiological change seems like a no brainer.
CBD for Anxiety:
Nearly a third of adults experience anxiety in their lives, with women experiencing anxiety twice as often as men. It goes without saying that life is stressful, but general stressors increase dramatically with pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, etc. Thanks to specialized receptors in the brain, cannabinoids can often reduce symptoms of a whole heap of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and PTSD.
CBD for Digestive Issues:
It seems today that digestive issues are everywhere, and studies show that they regularly affect women more often than men. In fact, 72% report having suffered from digestive problems, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, within the previous year. Based on a recent study, when introduced to the digestive tract, CBD can help regulate digestion and modulate bowel movements, thereby improving the body’s digestive function.
To sum up, there’s another movement on the horizon, which is the Power of the Plant. We women have enough on our plate and thanks to cannabis, it will be much more enjoyable to consume and ultimately easier to digest. 😉
From the Ambary Gardens family, we celebrate all of the strong, beautiful women of the world and appreciate all you do.

I have a touch of diverticulosis which can sometimes become inflamed if I don’t watch what I eat. Which of your CBD oils do you recommend for that and at what dosage for good maintenance?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your question! I would personally suggest the Water Soluble Rapid Delivery to start. This formula is designed to bypass the liver interaction and to absorb easier like through the intestines, which might get it right to the root of the problem a lot easier. As far as dosing, we suggest 1-2 mL once or twice a day. Starting low and adding to that until you reach the desired effects is the way to go. We are all too different inside to be more precise. As for maintenance, try to keep consistency with dosing so it stays in your system longer. This formula is faster metabolizing as well. Cheers to your well being!
I was just given advice by a psychiatrist to instead of increasing my pharmacy medications to help my anxiety, try CBD and he said to make sure I get good quality and work with very knowledgeable people and specifically mentioned Ambary Gardens as a trusted source for him and his epilepsy. I thought it was refreshing to get this advice instead of continuing to pile on more medications. I loved working with Cheryl today, she was so helpful. I will post again after a few weeks of using the Full Spectrum CBD low dosage. My anxiety felt like it was a 10 when i got there, and after a half dropper full, I can tell a difference after about 30 mins. Wow, i’m excited! Thanks Ambary Gardens!
